It's been since Tuesday morning that we lost our grandfather, and most of you who are close enough friends & family have already found out via other family member posts, but I wanted to personally thank you for the kind regards and personal msg's. If you're catching wind of this now, then sorry for the somewhat late news. I'm good. We're all good. Shawna and I went to SD on Wednesday to check in on Grandma and Mike, and things are definitely different, but everyone is getting by. This photo was the last time I saw my grandfather, a few weeks back when we went to SD for the weekend and stopped by their place. I hate taking pics, but Tintin always insists on making memories, so I obliged. Little did I know how profound this picture would be to me. So fortunate to have it. Over the past few months, my grandfather had a few heart complications, and even had a pace maker put in, but it just couldn't keep up with the demand. My grandfather was all heart. It's a gift and a curse. You give everything to those who ask, need, or expect it, and you don't worry about what it does to your own self, physically, mentally, spiritually, or even monetarily. He's worked hard his entire life, but he can now rest easy. Thanks for being the best grandfather anyone could ever ask for, and for being a true hero of mine.
