R.I.P. to our dog K.C.

We had to put down our 11 year old dog today.  He was a good boy.  Crazy, but loyal.  Tried eating Tuan once.  Hardly trusted anybody, but once you gained his trust, he was always happy to see you.  He was naturally aging, and over the years he’s been slower than in his younger years.  He hasn’t been all there lately.  Getting startled by the smallest things, and even me touching him.  He cried sometimes when trying to sit up, from a laying down position.  Just this past week, he’s been not wanting to eat, and would randomly guzzle water like he was dying of thirst.  Could be diabetes.  He did weigh 160 lbs.  Possible kidney failure too, which is agonizingly painful.  Somewhat common in Chow’s.  He’s a mix of Chow, Akita, and possibly German Shepard, but he is definitely not as smart as one!  He’s more Chow and Akita, lol!  Hef, aka Huge Heiffer (Hugh Hefner), aka K.C. Butt, you will be missed.  Love you boy!

So sorry to all of you 🙁 I know how hard it was for you. It was the right decision to make and I am proud of you. Someone once told me “the right decisions are the hardest to make”. You cared for him all his life and gave the greatest gift of love in the end. All things come full circle. I love you all and am grieving for you. I can’t wait to see you in March.
    Love you more,
    Dana
