SOLD!!! – 92 Nissan 240SX SE Coupe

Update as of 10/8/19 at 9PM:  The car was only listed for 5 hours and it is now sold and on to it’s new home!

I am deciding to let go of my 1992 Nissan 240SX “S13” SE Coupe.  It’s got 199,735 original miles.

I attempted to sell this thing back in Feb. 2011, but after a few weak offers, I decided to keep it.  Since then, the car has been parked up in my driveway, where it’s just sat and been neglected.  It was running great, and I physically backed it into the driveway to where it sits now, but that was the last time it was started up or ran.  Mileage is still the same as it was in 2011.  Since my last for sale post, I need to add that the gas tank will need to be replaced, which I already have sitting inside the trunk of the car, waiting to be put in.  The car is lowered, and as the car sat for a few years, air leaked out of the rear left tire, causing the car to rest on the tank, and poking some sort of hole, which made all the gas slowly leak out in my driveway.  I picked up a replacement tank from an S13 convertible (same), so you won’t need to purchase one.  Other than that, the car just needs to be brought back to life by someone who wants a project car.  All of the stuff you will read about this car below, is exactly the condition and care it was in before I just parked it, and a complete listing of all of the maintenance and upgrades I’ve done to the car.  Most were the common issues you’d find with S13’s, but keep in mind, this was like 8 years ago, so expect some aging with the paint, rubber, etc.  Come and take a look at it, and take it off my hands for potentially a steal, if all that’s needed is the tank and flushing of all the fluids.  You’ll just need to bring a trailer to tow it home, preferably a flatbed due to the ride height.  It’s also listed now as non-op, so no smog will be done on it, and you’ll need to get new plates for it, as I’m keeping my vanity plates that are on it.  AAA said new plates are issued once it’s taken out of non-op and registered.  These cars are becoming damn near non-existent now.  Especially a 92 Coupe SE with a KA24DE DOHC original motor with less than 200k original miles on it.  (Scroll to the end of the gallery of photos for the recent pics of the car).

Here’s all of the info I posted back in Feb. 2011:

TabTuesday: Cars, Fixies, and Food Trucks! Thanks @Store13 !

Last night, West Covina’s own Store13 hosted a special Tab Tuesday event for this year’s Thanksgiving holiday.  It was an idea put into place by owner Tepi Benjamins a few months back, with hopes of just having a few food trucks, and the regular fixie riders, as well as a few local car guys who’ve participated in past Tab Tuesday events.  Tepi has a lot of connections, and as the date of the event rapidly approached, others were willing to show up and help out.  Ford brought down their new Focus collaboration project, with fixed gear bicycle brand Leader Bikes, which was nice.  A slew of food trucks also came out to feed the crowds, such as the Calbi truck, California Grill Truck, as well as about 5 others.  Even local radio station KROQ came out to enjoy the madness!  Well, as word spread, I guess people were itching to get out, because there ended up being 300+ in attendance (by my estimations), which had to have grown further into the night, because as we left, the parking lot behind the movie theatre parking structure was damn near full.  Full of every type of SoCal import automotive enthusiast that you can think of:  Full on JDM, VIP style, Drag Racer, Hard Parker :), and even a legit RHD R34 Skyline GT-R, which is nothing new, but it raised a lot of attention, due to the fact that they are all supposed to be illegal in the USA, after some legality issues were investigated by the Feds!  And it was one of the cleanest R34’s I’ve seen in a long time, and all original.  There was also the younger brother model in attendance as well, the next gen GT-R, which was also nice to see.  I’ve taken a lot of pics, and you can check the rest of them out HERE, but here’s a few to start you out with.  Enjoy!

Ken Block’s STi @ DC store

Me and Tintin went to the DC store on Melrose, and what do I discover?!?  One of the most famous STI’s ever, (or I should say, a stunt double of it).  This is most likely, not the STI that Ken Block used to beat the record, for longest jump, but this might be the one that he used to film that video on youtube, where he showed off his drifting skills.  For sure, this is the car that Rob Dyrdek used in his upcoming episode of that new show, that I Tivo.  I know, because the girl working at the store, asked me to not photograph the car, because they don’t want anyone to see their store layouts, or anything, and then she proceeded to let me know that Rob had just finished using it for some video taping, and had just returned it to the shop.  I sometimes miss my STi, that I used to have.
