Fitted Hawaii – “Hafa Adai” Pack (now up for sale!)

Dang son!  Are you serious?!  One of my favorite brands just dropped this “Hafa Adai” pack today, consisting of a t-shirt, and a New Era cap.  Fitted Hawaii took one of their graphic slogans “Aloha Served Daily”, and changed it up a little bit, to say “Hafa Adai Served Daily”.  This tee’s been on my radar for a few days now, since the newsletter went out, and it’s now up for sale on their webstore.  Cop now if you’re down with Guam!

Words from Fitted:

Hafa Adai!. This pack is for our Chamorro bredrens and sistrens out in the Pacific West! Despite the many miles that separate us from the rest of our Polynesian / Austronesian Universal family, we’re still just that, a family. There may be slight variations in our native tongues, however we still share the same body (the Pacific Ocean), bloodline (Polynesian / Pacific Islanders) and cerebral cortex (our collective knowledge, wisdom and understanding, all passed down by our ancestors with a rich and unique history). We are the original people of the Pacific! With that said, we present to you our Hafa Adai pack. The term Hafa Adai means Hello in the Chamorro language, the native tongue of the original inhabitants of the island of Guahan or Guam. Depending on who you ask, it can also be used as a term for “what’s up?” and it parallels our Aloha in more ways than one.

The tee, printed on black, features a graphic similar to our Aloha Served Daily t-shirt flipped with the words Hafa Adai Served Daily in blue, white and red and hints of yellow, green and brown. Coinciding with this release is an H Pride hat: black upper, white eyelets, gray brim and teal H.”

TheHundreds x Garfield Pop-Up Shop

Tin and I decided to take a trip to Santa Monica today, to visit the TheHundreds x Garfield Pop-Up shop.  Some people think that The Hundreds just collaborates for the sake of collaborating, but honestly, his collaborations speak directly to me, for some reason.  Resurrecting the legendary artist Steve Nazar, to bring back his characters from T&C Surf Designs, Thrilla the Gorilla, JoeCool, and the rest.   I can go on for days, but some releases I passed up, for one reason or another, but knew what they represented.  For example, I’ve never boughten anything from the Delorean collaboration, but dude, BTTF is one of my favorite movies of all time!  When the Garfield collaboration came about, I was thinking really?  You read his comics too?  That was the one comic I had to make sure to read every Sunday.  I had so many of those damn McDonalds mugs, too.  I never missed a holiday special cartoon of his.  “Candy…candy, candy, candy, candy”.  Remember the cartoon series?  He wanted to send Nermal to Abu Dhabi!  And when Bobby brought up that he was gonna include U.S. Acres, I was like, “oh yeah, I remember them!”  Their cartoons were short, and random, so it’s easy to see how they can be forgotten by most.  Thanks to TheHundreds, I can get all nostalgic over and over, with my childhood.

Anyways, I came home with the store exclusive tee, with Garfield on the skateboard, and the wider released Garfield “punk crew” tee.  I kind of wanted the glass mug as well, but refrained, and instead bought stickers…that’s right, they are selling them, not giving them away with purchases this time.  It’s all good.  Enjoy some pics we took, while there, as well as the stuff I brought home.

UNDFTD x Disney Capsule Collection

Friday, Undefeated will be releasing their Disney capsule collection, consisting of a few tees, zip-up hoodies, and a beanie. The characters chosen for the collection, were Goofy, Donald, Huey, Duey, and Luey, and a few others, with a primarily hockey and basketball theme. This collection has that retro feel to it, don’t you agree?

Maui and Sons tees

We went down to Venice Beach yesterday, and while there, I stopped into the Maui and Sons store. I found two recently released “vintage line” tees that were a must cop! The black one has the classic logo on the back, in the puffy paint that they used on their shirts back when I was a kid, and the white tee has a picture of the Maui and Sons famous character, Arnold Sharkley.  I only knew his name, because it was printed on the receipt, under the tshirt description!

The Hundreds x Johnny Cupcakes

We dropped by The Hundreds LA yesterday, and as the gate was coming down, we pulled up and talked the homie into letting us cop this tee, the first collaboration between The Hundreds, and Johnny Cupcakes.  I guess it’s pretty hard to get,  as it is only available in store, and pretty damn limited, as I couldn’t get my sz XXL, but I got a M for my cousin Mike. Lucky punk!
